Sustainable Water Management-Rainwater Harvesting (RWH) & Wate..
Dear Sir,
Four-Day Residential Workshop on
‘Sustainable Water Management-Rainwater Harvesting & Water Audit’
August 2-5, 2011 – Royal Orchid Beach Resort, Utorda Beach, Salcette, Goa
We are pleased to inform you that FICCI is organizing a “Four-Day Residential Workshop on “Sustainable Water Management-Rainwater Harvesting (RWH) & Water Audit” during August 2-5, 2011 at Royal Orchid Beach Resort, Goa. Based on the overwhelming response from industries, this is our 5th consecutive workshop promoting Rainwater Harvesting in last 5 years.
As we all are aware that fresh Water is increasingly becoming a scarce commodity and to meet the current & future demands, we all need to conserve water and use it efficiently. The depleting groundwater levels & deteriorating water quality are becoming issues of concern for most industries/organizations. This problem could only be addressed by adopting Sustainable Water Management Practices like RWH and Water Audit. The natural pure source of rainwater could be tapped for storage and direct use or to recharge the groundwater which certainly raises the groundwater table & improve water quality. On the water conservation front, the existing water management practices could be critically assessed through Water audits, to bring in reduction in water consumption & also reduced costs by way of saving in electricity, cost of water, wastewater treatment cost etc.
The workshop is designed to provide the participants with hands-on training on basic design features of RWH system and its implementation in urban areas like Industrial Units, Residential Colonies, Commercial Buildings, Hotels, Hospitals, Schools, Parks and large Catchment areas. The methodology of conducting effective Water Audit, recycle & reuse practices along with some case studies would also be covered as part of the workshop. The course would involve interactive sessions, lectures by experts, case studies, field visits, group exercises and documentary movies.
The focus groups are representative/s from Industries, Hotels, Hospitals, Government Organizations, Institutions, Consultancy Organizations, Academics, Local Water Management Bodies, NGOs, Civil Society and Individuals interested in Sustainable Water Management & RWH.
May we, therefore, request you to forward nominations from your organization or register yourself to reap the multiple benefits. For participation, kindly send the nominations to the undersigned per the enclosed nomination form. The last date for receiving nominations is July 29, 2011.
